| Effects of cross-cultural upbringing (mental health, relationships, spirituality, and career) | The focus on this survey is on 4 main areas where we want to see the effects of cross-cultural upbringing (mental health, relationships, spirituality, and career). Responses will contribute to a growing knowledge base of ATCKs, but also to the resources and programs developed to care and support ATCKs. | Link | [email protected] |
| The deep-rooted connection between love, intimacy and culture in adulthood and the spectrum of relevance of cultural and/or parental relationships throughout an individual’s upbringing and its impact on their love life. | My research goal is to investigate the deep-rooted connection between love, intimacy and culture in adulthood, as well as to assess the spectrum of relevance of cultural and/or parental relationships throughout an individual’s upbringing and its impact on their love life. I want to further explore this connection through the specific cultural experiences of Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and their preferred romantic practices. This research could aid both experts and TCKs themselves, to reimagine the impact of cultural and familial connections on the individual development of romantic demonstrations (measured through love language preference) as they dive into adulthood. | Link | [email protected] |
